Biewer Terriers are energetic, loyal and eager for adventure. They are affectionate and make wonderful family companions. This breed dates back to Germany 1984. Their body is covered by silky straight hair that comes in white, blue, or black. They have white hair on their belly and legs. They are great for allergy sufferers since they barely shed hair. They can reach up to 8.5 inches in height and weigh up to 7 pounds. However, don’t let their small size fool you – they are quite brave! They need owners who will make the time to be a consistent leader or else they may become yappy and aggressive. Although they tend to be sweet with children, it is best to have these dogs in a household with older children. They are great watchdogs but they make become over-protective and neurotic with owners who do not meet their needs. They are active indoors and are good for apartment life.
