Fresh chilled semen is overnight shipped to you or your vet through fedex express, and delivered by 1200 pm noon the next day for insemenation. Some customers get 2 semen shipments 2 days apart, and some just get 1 shipment of semen.   Keep in mind we must know by 300 pm central time on any given day in order to prepear ethe shipment for guaranteed next-day delivery by 1200 noon. Then again around day 9 or 10 and usually by day 10 the spike in progesterone levels is seen letting you know she has began ovulation and she is ready for insemenation in 1-3 days or so depending on her exact progesterone level at time of testing. Most of the time females are ready for insemenation around days 10-13 after bleeding begins, but this can vary and some females will ovulate as soon as 5 or 6 days after first beginning to bleed or as late as 20 days after bleeding begins. So progesterone testing is paramount to succefully timing the breeding.   Vet chargess can vary, so always be prepared and contact vet offices before-hand to get info and pricing. ypull want to find a vet offering reproduction services who has the progesterone testing equipment ONSITE, in order to give you near instant results. some vets use outside labs and can take up to 24 hours to return the results, which can result in missed breeding windows and missed litter opportunities.
