Like most Golden Retrievers, Jax is a complete sweetheart, however his amiable personality goes far beyond what I would consider typical of the breed. Jax, surprisingly, is somehow protective while still incredibly gentle. He has been caught rushing to the aid of injured children, and seems to have an advanced ability to recognize emotional and physical distress from people and other animals. He has the personality traits characteristic of a service animal. He is friendly, smart, and affectionate with the occasional twinge of jealousy for when his owners show affection to another dog. Jax has a medium coat with light feathering of the hind legs and chest, and a beautiful full tail. He is not as stalky as some variations of Goldens, but he has a strong build. His longer legs contribute to his exceptional agility. Jax will produce some top-of-the-line puppies. I am looking forward to introducing more wonderful dogs like him to new owners. Jax is fully AKC registered, I can provide a three generation certified AKC pedigree. Jax is up to date on his vaccinations, he is healthy and is given regular veterinary care. He is CKC registered, and he OFA certified to be free of hip and elbow dysplasia. He has also be genetically tested for genetic disorders by Optimal Selection and is completely free of all 75 disorders tested for.
