Boston Terrier Stud Fees

If you are breeding rather than buying, the other number that matters is the stud fee. Across 14 Boston Terrier stud listings on K9Stud, the median fee is $600, ranging from $200 to $2,000. Fees at the upper end generally reflect titled, health-tested, proven studs; the lower end tends to be younger or unproven dogs. Many breeders also accept a puppy back from the litter in place of a cash fee.

What Affects the Price of a Boston Terrier Puppy?

A note on very low prices. Listings far below $650 are worth extra scrutiny. Unusually cheap puppies can signal missing health testing, early separation from the dam, or an outright scam. Always speak to the breeder, ask for documentation, and see the puppy with its mother. Read our safety tips »

How we calculated these numbers

These figures come from real asking prices posted by breeders on K9Stud — not survey estimates. We analyzed 53 Boston Terrier puppy listings created in the last 5 years, excluding listings under $100 or over $20,000 as data-entry errors. Where a breed has less recent data we widen the window (up to five years) to reach a usable sample, and the window used is always stated above. “Median” is the midpoint; the “typical range” spans the 10th to 90th percentile.

One caveat, stated plainly: these are asking prices, not confirmed sale prices, so the final agreed figure can be lower. Treat them as a well-grounded market benchmark rather than a quote.
