Our site features quality Airedale Terrier Puppies

The Airedale Terrier is known to be the largest of the terrier group. Originally from England, it was bred by crossing in the Otterhound and the Black Terrier for optimal water rat hunting skills. Originally, this breed was used for police work in Germany and Britain. Airedales have a flat back, small, round feet, straight legs, v shaped ears and a long head. Their muzzle is the same length as their head. Their double coat is hard, dense and comes in tan and black or tan and grizzle. Males can range between 22 and 24 inches in height and weigh up to 65 pounds. Females are slightly smaller, ranging between 22 and 23 inches in height and can weighing up to 45 pounds. As puppies they are loving and playful. As adults, they maintain their sweet disposition but they need proper obedience training because they tend to be disobedient without a firm handler. This breed may be too rough for small children, so be watchful! They normally get along with other pets, but they will try to dominate them. Airedales will become unruly if they are not exercised on a regular basis. This breed is not suited for apartment life. They are recommended for those with a small yard. Training is never an issue, but they do become bored easily. If asked to repeat the same task multiple times, they may flat out refuse. It is important to add some variability in training schedules. Airedales have many talents including but not limited to hunting, tracking, military and police work.Browse our featured Airedale Terrier puppies for sale below. 0 Results
