About the Black Russian Terrier
The Black Russian Terrier, also known as the “Black Pearl of Russia,” is an impressive breed that originated in the Soviet Union. Developed in the mid-20th century by crossbreeding various working dog breeds, including the Airedale Terrier, Giant Schnauzer, and Rottweiler, these dogs are both powerful and intelligent. Their shaggy black or salt-and-pepper coat conceals a robust frame, making them ideal guard dogs.
