Charleston, West Virginia also has two large dog parks for canines to get plenty of exercise while their owners relax and visit with other dog owners. One of them is Ruth Raftery Peyton Dog Park which offers off-leash time. There is also water access and benches. Open from dawn to dusk, the Charleston Dog Park is located in the city just blocks away from the State Capitol. Your dog can enjoy some off-leash time while you sit and relax. Waste bags are provided. Other dog friendly cities include Wheeling and Parkersburg.
