Mastiff Puppies

One of the best saying ever recorded that adequately describes the Mastiff is, "As a lion is to a cat, so a Mastiff is to a dog!" Mastiffs are purely massive dogs that reach heights of 30 inches and can weigh up to 160 pounds. There have been Mastiffs that have reached 200 pounds. Females are slightly smaller, weighing 150 pounds and reaching 27 inches in height.

Dubbed the "Gentle Giant", Mastiffs aren't revered for being aggressive. Mastiffs are extremely patient, gentle, loyal, and they make a great watchdog. They love children, but may be unsafe for small babies, simply because of their massive size. They are patient and respond best to gentle training methods.

Mastiffs love to recline around the house and do not need a huge yard and vigorous exercise. In fact, they will adapt easily to apartment living. However it is good to make certain that your Mastiff enjoys a nice walk every day to ensure that he or she stays healthy.
