| now we live in our home on 5000 Sq ft lot with a small fence4/5 ft but in 1year or 2 we are gonna move in a house with 1 acre lot and 6 ft fence..we live in Oregon so its rainy..right now we consider Shar-pei..Rottweiler Gaint SCHNAUZERS and Bull Terrier..we dont have 100 time to train the dog..me and kids love the Rottweiler but we think is to protective also to big for our space for now..also Shar -pei is a good size dog for us now but we heard those has alots health problems..Bull Terrier we dont know to much about them only what we saw in the videoclip you tube.. title Bull Terrier - toro ...anyways we want a dog good with kids not over protective to do well outdoors not to bark to much..and not too much exercise because we dont have to much time..thank you all

With small kids you do NOT want a Bull Terrier. I breed Miniature Bull Terriers and they are basically the same as the Standard only in a smaller pacakge. While they are great dogs funny and smart and sweet with people they are stubborn and DONOT do well with rough housing or teasing like most kids will do and most do not do well with small animals such as cats or small dogs as they can have a very high prey drive.
I also breed French Bulldogs and Shiba Inus and out of the 3 breeds the Shiba Inu is the best with families and other animals. They are excellent house dogs very smart very very easy to house break are quiet clean and not yappers The ONLY negative issues with the Shiba are that they have a double insulated coat like a Husky or Malamute and blow their coat twice a year and when they do there is ALOT of hair but afterwards they are no worse than any other breed and better than most. They also have a tendencey to be same sex aggressive so a female Shiba usually wont get along with another female of any breed and the same with a male. Not saying they CANT if they are very well socialized from a very young age. So you might want to check into a Shiba Inu.
