Hi there i have a wonderful 12 week old black peke.. Oh she is so great and pretty.. I want to breed her when it is her time. But i heard u need to wait for the 2nd heat.. The first one is at 6 months? Then the 2nd one is at 12 months? Is that right.. She is ckc so i have to breed her to ckc male right? This is new to me.. What happens if u let her breed the 1st heat? And when are the best day in the heat to breed i heard the 6th an the 13th? I know i have a long time until i can breed her but i want to use this time as my learning time.. So i have some knowledge in this when it is the time.. thank u

The first thing is you dont want to breed her until she is at least 2 years of age and she passes all health tests. Find you a mentor someone who shows so that you can have another opinion as to whether you puppy meets the standards for her breed. Dont just breed because you think your puppy is cute. I might be wrong on this but I believe that you can breed to an AKC registered dog and still register the puppies with the CKC but not with the AKC. Now the male you choose make sure he has had all his health tests and meets all the breed standards. Please dont just breed because you think your puppy is cute. Also plan on spending alot of money on breeding a litter.
