| Why do dogs eat grass?
| |
| I have four young Labs that I campaign in AKC hunt tests and when I air them in the morning they like to eat grass. Then sometimes they vomit it up. My vet says this is normal but doesnt know why. I have switched food several times and this doesnt seem to make any difference. The dogs are very healthy and extremely active. Any suggestions out there?

| Even though some vets dont believe this dogs can get flem in the morning just like humans can. Dogs eat grass to settle their stomache and if their stomache is uneasy from something the dog will want to throw it up...like a human would. Also dogs sometimes get uneasy stomaches in the morning if you feed them too late at night...feed them 3 hours before bedtime and their stomaches will digest the food enough before bedtime to not be nausiated. Also some dogs are more sensitive than others so their dog food may not be quite right for them. Seems to me like the feeding routine may need to be changed.
