| Yes a reputable breeder would refund your money if you had a contract or give you first pick out of next litter. Most contract would have to have a vet certified as to why the puppy died.Just contact your breeder and see what they have to say. Also some states have a puppy lemon law you could also check into this.

| i think you chose to deal with one of the puppy mills and/or puppy brokers that are very prevelant on this site. I am vey sorry this happened and I hope you can manage to get all of your money refunded. Please if you want another puppy do not take one from this person. Look for a good breeder to do business with. if the puppy came from Penn. that is a good state to avoid if wanting a healthy puppy. If the breeder is licensed by the USDA that is a good sign they are a puppy mill and should be avoided. You might use a threat to notify the USDA a leverage to get your money refunded. Good Luck.

| Please make sure the new breeder gives you a written contract that states they will refund your money in full including any shipping costs if there is a problem with the pups health or if it dies from sickness. I have noticed there are a lot of possible puppy mills in Texas that are advertising on this site. Having a lot of breeds and litters available all the time is a good indication.Good luck and I hope you find a wonderful puppy.

| Sounds like a good idea to me I would love to see all the so called BREEDERS like that put out of business. She is not a responsible breeder and it sounds like she is running a puppy mill. You can sue in small claims court and I believe there is a lemon Puppy law . I would contact the Utah state attorney generals office. Also the USDA if she advertises she is licensed by them. Good luck.

| I checked and Utah and Texas do not have lemon laws. They said that Texas is one of the biggest states for puppy mills that sell over the internet to the public instead of pet stores.

| Well if all else fails there is always the media. I f a TV or newspaper starts doing a special and an investigation into local puppy mills it could lead to this BREEDER being raided and put out of business. It may not get the money refunded but it will be sweet revenge and will remove more dogs from a horrible life. I think a win/win situation.

| I would try anything that you can such as media call the county attorney where the breeder is located and see if they can do anything.

| i think a good breeder shouldnt ever put a living thing in A BOX and mail it like a letter. if you want a certain dog check in your area or surrounding IM SURE most people can afford to drive even a few hours if they actually have money to afford a dog that shouldnt be a problem. I sell pekingese in NEBRASKA and I have driven half way to st louis to meet a buyer before and even had a lady drive from HOUSTON TEXAS to NEBRASKA and stay in my town one night just to get her pekingese. THATS TRUE LOVE and RESPECT to these living things.

| when buying a puppy-always check the contract and make sure there is at least a 72hour period where you can take it to the vet to get a health check.
