What is the most effective way to stop my in home dogs from barking. One starts barking AT NOTHIING and then they all chime in almost like a contest. It is driving us crazy I tried bark collars so please do not recommend them as they did not work.

I have a 6 month old German Shepherd and he is always biting when he want to playmy wife and kids and when he goes out side he is always digging. If I leave his collar and leash on he is fine. Any Ideas?

I have a well trained choc lab. He has gotten his basic training as well as good citizen. I have MS so he is getting training to pick things up for me find my glasses remote things like that. Latley when I take him in public he has started barking at men.
