| i posted two pups priced mid range two weeks ago and I havent had so much as one inquiry...I have put them in my local paper as well...any other suggestions for a good place to sell them on the internet??? They are CKC Chihuahuas and I have to find a home for them soon....any suggestions at all would be GREAT

| I have sold 8 out of th 11 puppies I had on this site. The other 4 were sold through recommendations from the vets that we use. Most vets offices have a place where you can advertise.

| I had 3 boxer pups posted in Febuary and sold all of them within a week. I think it is all in the picures you post and it alo depends on what types of dogs people want at he time.

| I havent sold a single puppy because of my ad on this site. I have had success from my ads on www.TerrificPets.com and www.puppyfind.com. I only have one breed and do not ship puppies and have had only one litter of nine pups available for sale. I dont fit the profile of a lot of the people who advertise on this site.

| Finally after 7 weeks I found homes for one of my babies on this site. I have to say that all my babies new families are wonderful. Yesterdays new Mom and Dad drove 6 1/2 hours to meet the kids...and fell in love with my Little Miss Carlie. Her new Daddy could not put her down. I have to say I have had more luck on PuppyFind. The Bargain Trader is filled with scammers Terrific pets hasnt been much better.

I get most of my responses from nextdaypets I have used TerrificPets and it does OK sold a few through buypuppiesdirect and I got rid of the puppyfind account because of all the scammers. I think alot of people buying are seeing the bad stuff about scammers on puppyfind and its turning people off nextdaypets however has the ID Verify which I think helps put people at ease about the scammer issue. I am sure a few wiggle there way on but its peanuts compred to the volume that puppyfind has.

I actually did okay on puppyfind and on here after they turned about 9 weeks old. i actually had 3-5 people on the list for one pup. With the scammers you just have to weed them out. I can usually tell by their emails...it helps that I belong to an anti-scammer group. I think that it also help my new families because they had a phone number and I sent them tons of pictures so they knew that I was not a scammer. I actually took pictures about every week and updated the sites as well as resubmitting at least daily on here and puppyfind it gets your puppies towards the top of the list for the breed. It is time consuming but it does help. Another thing that I found works is writing the ad as if each puppy wrote their own and giving them a name that is not a dog name. Just add little tidbits about their personality. My one female I described as a cuddle bug...the other was a tomboy and the descriptions were true. I have found wonderful Forever homes for all nine of my bassets babies. A contract is helpful too...I have a 3 1/2 page one that I emailed to all prospective parents but I individualized them by inserting a picture of each baby. That contract really weeded out bad owners.

| I have had an ad on this site for about 8 months and had one inquiry and that was from a scammer. All my pups were sold from ads on other sites. I also have had an ad here for my stud dog and received no inquiries about him. I have gotten two stud services contracted from another ad. my ad expires this week and wont be renewed. I also dont like the high number of puppy mills on this site.

| We had an ad on this site for about 2 weeks and we sold two puppies. I have noticed that younger adults like to find ads and such on the Internet while older adults 55 tend to rely more on newspapers and postings in local pets shops and stores. Hang in there my vet said due to the economy it seems to be harder to sell puppies lately well at least in Michigan.

| We have sold quite a few puppies on this site. We have listed here for over 8 months. It has slowed down a lot the last few weeks. I guess this is due to the gas prices. I lowered my prices a bit and was able to send 3 to wonderful new homes. I would like to thank the people that do take time to inquire and research the breed they are look at. Havent had any inquiries at all. They are getting past the CUTE puppy stage and into teenager stage.

| It is hard to sell puppies on this site unless you have something special. The majority of dogs here are nothing more that pets. People get into breeding and do not know what they are doing. By breeding regular pets and selling them you are not doing yourself a favor. Puppies of parents without titles are nothing more than pets and are not worth anything.
A reputable breeder train and titles their own dogs, If both parents are titled, You have something, everything else is a waste of time, if you want a dog go to the shelter and pick one up, DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM A BREEDER THAT DO NOT HAVE PROVEN PARENTS.

Well I have very cute pictures. The only litter of its kind in the US AKC FSS and not one email but more importantly only about 40 views. I am also on a couple other sites and get far more hits.

| I think what sells, is cute puppy pics Make sure your puppies look adorable, also look at the backround of your picture. Are you taking pictures indoors..make sure your house is clean. Does the price of your pups match your pups registration? AKC vrs ACA or UKC vr CKC? I would never pay a high price for a pup that wasnt AKC or UKC.. and If the price is high, are the parents titled?
People think selling puppies is easy and a quick way to make money... ha

Last time I posted, I had just registered and within a few days I was able to sell my last Siberian Husky. Although, some e-mails were clearly scams, the person that bought the puppy was great and I could tell that he would give the puppy a great home. I am now selling 2 huskies on this site. Wish us luck
