| Breeder died, need to sell remaining puppies
| |
| My grandmother was a breeder and had a litter of purebred Pugs. She died suddenly this week, and we need to sell the remaining dogs ASAP. There is one Exotic Black and one Fawn left. How should we go about this? Wed like to give them to a pet store or other breeder to sell them for us for a portion of the selling price. Thanks for any info!

| There are two pugs, one Fawn and one Exotic Black. Their date of whelp is 03/04/06, so they are five months old now. They are both male. They have been trained not to bite and to leave the house to relieve themselves. The AKC litter number is TR478284. Im not experienced at this, so I dont know what other information would be useful to you. My grandma was selling them for $600 each, but we are obviously willing to let them go for less than that - maybe $300 each? Thanks for any help you can offer. I can send pics, too, if needed.

| hey kiddo, whatever you do, please dont place them in a pet store, theyre already well past the age that most stores like them - and often if pups dont sell soon enough, theyre put down.
if you dont find buyers soon enough, you can place them with breed rescue (but they wont pay you for them - they will take care of them until good homes are found though). simply do a net search for "pug rescue".
good luck!

| Thanks for your advice. I hadnt thought about that in regard to the pet stores. How sad that would be! Anyway, we finally found a private buyer for both of the puppies! Thanks again.

| Im glad you managed to place them successfully :-). not all pet stores have that practice, but of course the ones that do it arent going to tell you they do. the pups are just there one day, and gone the next - most folks just assume theyve sold them.
by the way, my sympathies for the loss of your grandmother - her sudden leaving must have been a shock :-(.

| Were so glad, too. One man owned two Pugs, and they each died recently - so he bought both of ours! My grandma would be thrilled. It was definitely a shock, especially since she was living with us at the time. But she was ready to go; she knew where she was headed, and she was tired of feeling pain here. Anyway, thanks again for your concern and thoughtfulness. Take care!
