We believe our rat terriers to be the luckiest dogs alive. Living on a ranch in rural Nevada, our dogs are allowed to be dogs. They go out hunting nearly every single day and when they arent hunting, they are by our sides being the best companions any of us could ask for. They go with us horseback, help us decrease the rodent population on our ranch, play in the endless acres of sage, find a shady spot to watch Jymme start colts, go with Lacey and her kids to feed her pigs and chickens and milk her cow, and they go irrigating with Leah and her family and help them eradicate squirrels and gophers on their farm.
Nevada Sage Rat Terrier is comprised of three ranch girls, Lacey Thompson, Jymme Martin, and Leah Mori. We each have a small number of dogs who have become irreplaceable parts of our families. They get a lot of attention and are loved like members of the family.
We take pride in our dogs and the few litters we do have. Our dogs are socialized and they are not locked up unless absolutely necessary. They go with us everywhere we go. We are outdoors the majority of the time and our dogs are by our sides. They love being in the house and relaxing next to the stove or oven or they just cuddle up. They are great in the car and love the kids. They will adapt to absolutely every kind of lifestyle. They each have their individual personalities. They are spunky and kind and the coolest dogs any of us have ever owned.
