Located in central Indiana Skoog Kennels is dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. We have been raising and training Chessies since 1992. Our Chessies are working dogs used in the field to hunt waterfowl and upland game. In addition our dogs participate in United Kennel Club UKC Hunt Tests. Owner trained Skadi Freyja and Thor have excelled in Hunt Tests.
At Skoog Kennels we recognize that proper socialization is extremely important in the rearing of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. All our dogs are family dogs in addition to working dogs. Good temperament and conformation to breed standard also are characteristics in our dogs.
