To help do this we are following all of the reccomendations of the Blue Weimaraner Club of America. Bailey has passed her OFA Hips and Elbows, she has been CERF checked and passed, we ran a AKC thyroid check,DNA check, she has a Junior Hunt title. She is a proven hunter, we like to bring her out to the Rooster Ranch in Ubly, MI. She loves the game of the hunt, and has a solid point. We also want a great temperment, Bailey mom has a loving a playful energy about her. This litter has 5 blue males, 1 silver female, and 2 blue females. All of our puppies will have their vaccinations up to date by a veterinarian, microchiped, dewormed, be working on wings, and sent home with as much info we can send you. If you are shopping for your puppy by price you will end up paying more to the vet for dogs that are bred without proper health tests or that have allergies and seizures. All of our breeding dogs/bitches are health tested first and are free of any allergies seizures.
All of our puppies are from Champion and Hunt titled parents, so we only breed silvers as blues cannot be Champions under the Weimaraner Club of America. We do a minimum of OFA certification on Hips, Elbows and Thyroid. We are now also doing CERF eye tests on our breeding stock. You can go to each adult dogs page to see what tests have been done on them.
The puppies are born in our living room between the couch and the lazy boy chair. At 3-4 weeks they go to a larger pen in our addition where they have more room to run and play. At 5 weeks we add an open kennel to allow them to get used to going into one and it helps to teach them not to potty in it for future house training. If weather permits they begin to go outside for short periods in a larger pen close to the house. This is when they really learn to come to pup-pup.
Our puppies have tails docked and dew claws removed at 3-5 days of age and are wormed at 4 weeks and every week after. Puppies are micro chipped at 5 weeks with pre paid lifetime registration we fill out and register for you online. They get the first Parvo shot at 6 weeks. Puppies all go to the vets again at 6 1/2 weeks for a health check up to get ready to go home. We release our puppies at 7 weeks. This is when the seeing eye foundation found that they are finished learning what they need from the mother/pack and are ready to start the human bonding.

SOS kennels is located in the scenic farmlands of Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania. We are approx 45 minutes
north of Harrisburg and 5 minutes off of Interstate 81. For almost 10 years, SOS Kennels has been raising, showing
and training German Shorthaired Pointers. The Weimaraners were started 6 years later as we found that our
passion for the Weimaraner was the same as that of the GSP. We are active in NAVHDA, NSTRA, AKC
HUNT TEST, THE SHOW RING and OBEDIENCE.
Our dogs have been featured at the Harrisburg Sportsmens Show in PA, the PA Outdoor Life Expo and have
been on the TV SHOW Pennsylvania Outdoor Life numerous times. Accomplishments include training our dogs to receive AKC Junior Hunter Titles, AKC Senior Hunter Titles
and even AKC MASTER Hunter titles.
We belong to the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America and are active in the German Shorthaired
Pointer Rescue. We also belong to the Weimaraner Club of American and are active in the Weimaraner Rescue.
The cost of our puppies depends on the breeding. All pups are sold with a five
year health guarantee and the option of FULL registration. Pups come with tails
docked, dew claws removed, updated shots, AKC registration papers, AKC
certified three generation pedigree, micro chipped, 1st dose of heartgard plus a goodie bag and lifetime support. Pups
are also started on crate training, house breaking and wing trainingwe can skip
this stage for those who do not hunt. The price of the pups helps cover the cost
of the excellent care given during the breeding process, weaning process and the
training of the pups.

This breed is happy, loving, intelligent, cheerful, and affectionate. Good with children. They learn quickly but will get bored if the training is the same thing over and over again. This breed needs firm, experienced training starting at puppyhood, with an owner who understands how to be a dog’s pack leader,
or they can become stubborn and willful. Brave, protective and loyal, makes a good guard and watchdog. Weimaraners absolutely crave leadership. They want
to know what is expected of them and for how long. This breed especially should not be hit to discipline, they become wary easily. They are so eager to please,
and motivated by reward food or praise once a trick is learned, the dog will
leap to repeat for praise. Very hardy, with a good sense of smell, and a
passionate worker, the Weimaraner can be used for all kinds of hunting.
The breed is several centuries old and is derived from the same selective
stock as other German hunting breeds and is a descendant of the Bloodhound.
The Weimaraner is a good all-around hunting dog and an excellent pointer.
The popular childrens TV show Sesame Street has been known to plays skits
with this breed dressed up in human clothes. The Weimaraner was first
recognized by the AKC in 1943. Some of its talents include hunting, tracking, retrieving, pointing, watchdog, guarding, police work, and service dogs for the disabled, search rescue, and agility.
