You must have the time to make our puppy your favorite personal companion and want to be with them all the time. Portuguese Water Dogs are wonderful family pets that can learn any tricks you want to teach them. They will adore and love you with their whole heart forever.
All our puppies have a through vet check, first shots and worming before going to their new homes. Second shots can not be given until a puppy is at least 9 weeks old. They come with a litter certification and their limited non breeding AKC registration papers.

We are a private and loving home and these little sea dog pirates are raised on plenty of country sunshine. My husband and I are both retired and in our 50’s. Our kids are gone and these dogs are our new babies.
Our own dogs run free in NE Pennsylvania on 450 hundreds of acres with many creeks and ponds to play in all day long, everyday. They are contained in a 25 acre invisible fence system not a small kennel when I need to go out somewhere. They also love our beach house in the Outer Banks of NC and romping in the ocean. They are members of our family and very well behaved dogs most of the time, with a slight touch of mischief in their loving eyes. Thor our proud dad and stud muffin is directly from Portugal.
The most important thing to us is that we find our puppies good homes that can provide plenty of physical and mental exercise with lots of love. Our little puppy pirates are an extremely smart willing to please. They love and need to learn new tricks constantly and you need the time to teach, play and be with them.
Our training with them begins on the 3rd day of life doing the stimulation exercises that the US Military does in their canine program to improve the performance of dogs know to the public as Super Dog. We put all our time and love into these puppies.
We dont show our dogs. They are all show quality but I just love and enjoy them. I dont do the beauty contests so I dont know most of the other breeders. I prefer water sports and tracking and have private trainers that work with my dogs on our own property for our own enjoyment rather than competition. Our puppies sell themselves when people see the wonderland they are raised in.

SaltyDawgPWDs Reg. is the home and breeder of multiple champions and performance titled dogs. We are active members of our national and local breed and all breed clubs. We compete in multiple AKC and PWDCA venues including but not limited to conformation agility obedience rally and breed specific water trials.
Our puppies are whelped and raised in the heart of our home and have ship shape temperaments. They are introduced to a minimum of seven flooring textures agility equipent the water and receive extensive stimulation.
All our puppies are placed with microchips AKC registrations CERF exams extensive puppy packets and an actively involved breeder. They are crate trained and close to housebroken by the time of placement. Dogs are den animals and we strongly recommend continuing crate training to provide your puppy/dog with a safe environment. Our dogs are never allowed to run at large without supervision.
We are located just outside the White Mountain Valley of New Hampshire where our dogs experience hiking swimming and boating. Because we care deeply for our dogs our crew is provided plenty of securely fenced acreage to run and play in under our watchful eye away from dangerous elements.
We are natural rearing breeders raising our dogs and puppies on a biologically appropriate diet. All our puppies are placed on contracts and available to select homes. We insist on meeting and interviewing all prospective homes to help protect and maintain the integrity of the breed.
