| i have a 1 1/2 pitbull i got her at 5 months and now she wont come in heat i kept waitin and waitin and she still wont come in heat so help me

| She could be sterile or have an infection however it is common for some bitches to cycle late. If she doesnt have a cycle by the time she is two you may want to check with your vet.

| a bitch can have their first heat cycle anywhere from 6 months of age up to 24 months of age. size of dog sometimes makes a difference with toys coming in to their first heat closer to 6 months and large breeds closer to 12-18 months.
if you are sure your dog was not spayed before you got her she should come into heat. dogs can also have silent heats which produces little to no signs. if by 24 months of age she has not come into an obvious heat contact a vet that specializes in reproduction to discuss hormonal testing/thyroid functions.
