| my first time studding my dog

| hes a male beagle about 1 yr 7 months, I was looking for some tips on how to handle this whole thing . . . . . . . I was also wondering if I have to take my dog to the female that I breed with or if the female is brought to me???

| Male dogs do better within their home territory. If you male is timid at all taking him to somewhere unfamiliar can cause him not to be able to perform.
You should also always ask the females owners and have your dog tested for brucellosis, this is a reproductive disease, and there is no cure. Males can be carriers, females either abort or will not breed. Protect your male, a majority of breeders who stud their dogs artificially inseminate to protect their own dogs.
