| i have been training dogs for over 20 years . In My opinion pitts are usually a reflection of their owners . We must also take into consideration the Genetics of the specific dog, that may also play a great factor. Last but not least one of my favorite saying that i learned many years ago fron a dear friend and fellow dog traininer ( its all in what you train) training plays a great percentage in what a dog turns into....Pete nunez @www.usk9academy.com

| pittbulls are what you raise them as....if you bring them up around children...then theres less chance of possible danger....as goes for any breed...in my opinion no dog is a natural born killer...they are brought up to be that way....their surroundingspeersand many other things can affect how they act as an adult.just like humans.if a pit bull pup is raised in a stressful dangerous environment theres greater risk of an agressive adult for the future.

| If you are considering pit bulls you may also consider staffordshire terriers...
I would also recommend that you deal with someone who is breeding there dogs for a purpose beyond a few extra $s.
What is it that you like about pits? Perhaps there is a dog breed that doesnt have such a bad reputation that is close.

I am a pitbull breeder Some breed of pitbulls have more drive than others. Such as being hyper and to rough. The bloodlines we raise are the more laid back calm pitbulls. But its how you raise a pitbull no pitbull is genetically human agressive. But diffrent bloodlines/breeds has a factor on the more hyper pitbulls. | Pitbulls reputation is bad because of iresponsable and stupid owners a dog allways will be what his owner make him to be. IMO the big mistake wich have been made with the pits is the fact that they take a pit dog and want it to make of him a guard dog by changing his main focus wich he had for about 200-300 yrs form dogs to humans and so they f..k up his mind than they ban it when they acualy should put a bullet in the worthless brain of the stupid stupid and iresponsabile owners.

| I have never in my life encountered a APBT that was born with a bad disposition I have with corgis and labs however. But keep in mind that APBTs are incredibly loyal dogs which can get them into trouble. Before looking into getting one make sure that your situation where you live who you live with etc. isnt likely to change any time soon. Things like moving in with someone or having a baby will throw your dog off as he is now surrounded by unfamiliar things which can unsettle him. But even if the unexpected happens the APBT can become used to his new surroundings fairly easily however DONT BE STUPID. All the stories you hear about people who got Pit Bulls and their dogs killed their child bla bla bla typically didnt introduce the dog properly didnt monitor the dog with the child and in several cases LEFT THE CHILD ALONE WITH THE DOG. The majority of other attacks by Pit Bull breeds were abusive owners/bad temperament from birth. If you get one make sure the breeder is legitimate and all breeding stock has been tested for temperament as well as health.

THE APBT IS THE ONLY DOG IN HISTORY TO BE BRED FOR NON HUMAN AGGRESION . THEY WHERE NOT ORIGANLY BRED FOR FIGHTING EITHER THEY WHERE BRED AS A CATCH DOG FOR FARMERS AND BUTCHERS . WHICH IS WHERE BULL BAITING ORIGINATED AND WHEN IT WAS OUTLAWED THEY WENT TO DOG FIGHTING . DOG FIGHTING WAS A VERY STRUCTURED SPORT BOTH HANDLERS AND A REFEREE WAS IN THE PIT WITH THE DOGS AND IF THE DOG BIT A HUMAN IN THE PIT IT WOULD AUTOMATICLY BE DISQAULIFIED . YOUR TALKING A LOT OF MONEY TO HAVE A DOG EJECTED . THEY WOULD USUALLY PUT DOWN THE DOG AND ALL OFFSPRING . THE APBT HAS A HIGHER TEMPERMENT TEST RATING THAN MOST OTHER DOGS IT HAS BEAT LABS RETRIVERS AND COLLIES CONTINOUSLY . IT IS THREW BAD BREEDING AND OWNERS THAT THE PIT BULL HAS RECIEVED IS BAD NAME . ON TOP OF THAT THE PRESS PUSH PIT BULL ATTACKS . WE RECENTLY DID A STUDY ABOUT THIS WE CALLED THE LOCAL NEWS CHANNELS AND TOLD THEM THAT A CHILD WAS BITTEN BY A BLACK LAB AND THEY DIDNT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT IT WASNT NEWS A FEW SAID . A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER WE CALLED THE SAME NEWS CHANNELS AND TOLD THEM A PIT BULL BIT A CHILD . IT WENT FROM A BIT TO WHEN DID THE ATTACK THERE WORDS NOT OURS HAPPEN HOW BAD WAS THE CHILD MAULED AND COULD THEY HAVE INTERVEIWS WITH THE FAMILY . ITS NEWS WHEN THE APBT ATTACKS . NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT THE POMERANIAN THAT KILLED A 3 MONTH OLD BABY BY TEARING OUT ITS THROAT OR THAT LASSIE BIT HER HANDLER AND TIMMY MORE THAN 5 TIMES IN THE FILMING OF THE SHOW .

I have 2 Beautifull Blue nose pitbulls, they are great with kids you have to know the diferance between the 2 breeds of pitbulls. you have your game pits who were bred to fight that you have to wach. then you have your show pits. Show pits are what i am into and i have great success with them. did you know that a pitbull is actually considered the Nanny Dog ? i couldnt believe it myself at the time but now i realize. im sending apicture of my blue male with mu daughter
