| very possible. if your dog goes anywhere outside they should be up to date on vaccinesincluding bordetella, get regular fecal exams, and be on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. do not take known aggressive dogs to dog parks or dogs who are sick, too old or under 4 months of age. its always a risk out there

| sorry you do not get it, it isn ot your own dog that you have to worry about it is everyone elses dog, 99 of the people have no clue when it comes to dog behavior and dog training, just read the forum posts on this site.

| How do you get by in this world? Hopefully you dont have children and you never go in public yourself. Do you know how many diseases there are for humans? Do you know that you could get the flu, TB or lice just by riding on a bus or a plane?Have you ever seen what happens behind the scenes in a restaurant? You dont swim in pools, do you?
If you spend your time worrying about your dog getting some illness from other dogs, your dog will not get a chance to interact with other dogs and that is important for their health just like it is importnat for childern to play with other children and adults to communicate and intereact with other adults. Dont be so paranoid. Pay attention to your dogs health and share your conerns with those at the park to make sure that they are educated. Let your dog LIVE a little

| no problem letting your dog live a little. i am all for socialization and exposure. but just like you wont sleep with anyone off the streetsor at least use protection, not wash your hands after using bathroom and such, you take precautions with your dog. make sure on prevention, vaccinated and the biggest concern-some people out there insist on bringing unsocialized animals to public places. we get to stitch up quite a few. and, just like us, can pick up viruses and such from other not well kept dogs out there. sometimes is best to just join a dog training class or group where you know the dogs and health. might be best for dog and financial in the long run.
