| What is the most effective way to stop my in home dogs from barking. One starts barking AT NOTHIING and then they all chime in almost like a contest. It is driving us crazy I tried bark collars so please do not recommend them as they did not work.

| I have had excellant results using a toy squirt gun filled with water. Place several around the house so one is within easy reach at all times. I also use them to train a new cat not to climb on kitchen counters or on tables.

| Squirt guns work great I started with them for training cats to stay off the counters and found they work for the dogs too.

| They are right, or a squirt bottle, just make sure it is on their rump and not the face. Each time use a command IE hush, stop etc each time the dog does this and after around a week or so this behaviour should stop.
We have dobermans and they are vocal and this became a problem, one would start and get the other 3 going. So this does work
