I also have 2 Toy Aussie males. One is a blue eyed black tri male. He does care the blue eyed gene. Beautiful coat. Looks just like a full size aussie just small package. He stands 13 inches.
I have a blue merle male. Beautifully marked. Has marbling in his eyes tons of merle and tan. Its going to be tiny. Will be accepting a limited of females to him as he isnt a year old yet. He stands 11 inches

| I wanted to make a few comments on this.
First off there is no such thing as a mini aussie. There is NO size vary to the australian shepherd. There are either AUSSIES or mutts. In this case a mutt. Toy aussies were bred down by breeding to paps poms spitz type breeds chis etc. They are not purebred because their size is not of purebred aussies. Genetic history has proven over 50 of mini aussies and 85 of toy aussies are actually mutts.
Secondly WHY are you studding a dog that hasnt passed his OFA testing? He isnt two yet.
My suggestion get him neutered and find a purebred animal to train show and learn before trying to use him to make more unwanted animals.

| First off the toy and mini aussie are a registered dogs. They can be registered thru American Stock Dog and National Stock Dog registries. Mini Austrialian Shepards are also accepted by CKC. I have raised Aussie and been around Aussies since I was a child you can trace my dogs bloodlines back to full size dogs. There is no mutt in mine. I do get my dogs tested. They arent old enough and they will be tested. I understand you have your choice you can make. I have mine. I am not asking you to breed to my dogs. But you dont have run mine down.
thanks for you comments

| Actually there is NO such thing as a mini or toy aussie and yes I will ruin your chance to make money off a dog that is apparently way too young for health testing.
Here is direct information on how minis and toys are not a real breed
The United States Australian Shepherd Association
Statement concerning the Miniature Australian Shepherd and the Toy Australian Shepherd.
Recently there has been a rise in the movement to breed miniature and toy versions of the Australian Shepherd.
The Miniature Australian Shepherd and the Toy Australian Shepherd are not recognized or considered varieties of the Australian Shepherd by this organization the United States Australian Shepherd Association Inc. USASA or by the American Kennel Club AKC. Since these dogs are not AKC registered they cannot be verified by USASA as purebred and therefore are not considered Australian Shepherds by this organization.
The USASA does not support the purposeful breeding of Miniature Australian Shepherds and Toy Australian Shepherds and expects all members who have breeding programs to breed to the USASA/AKC recognized standard of excellence. The USASA further expects all members to be ever vigilant in the preservation and protection of the Australian Shepherd.
Oh and more
Mini Statement.
Motion by Kristin McNamra seconded by Ann DeChant
Directors
Voting on the enclosed motion went as follows
Approve Unanimous.
Motion is approved.
Thanks
Jo
I move that the ASCA Board adopt the following statement for immediate
placement on the ASCA website and for use as an official response to
inquiries from the business office
The Miniature Australian Shepherd North American Shepherd North
American Miniature Australian Shepherd and/or Toy Australian
Shepherd breeds are not recognized as a variety of Australian
Shepherd by ASCA. The club considers such dogs to be a distinct and
separate breed and will not accept them into its registry.
Our bylaws state that ASCAs purpose is To encourage members and
breeders to accept one breed standard for the Australian Shepherd as
approved by the Club as the only standard of excellence by which
Australian Shepherds shall be judged. It is the mission of this club
and the mission of its members to preserve the breed rather than
change it.
Comment The club wishes to respond to the breeders of small and tiny
dogs resembling Australian Shepherds who claim they are producing a
size variety. The Aussie was never intended to be selected for size
it was developed to be a functional working dog capable of handling
tough stock and going for miles in the back country or snow drifts.
Changing the appearance of the breed to personal aesthetic tastes
rather than suitability for work does not fulfill ASCAs mission
statement to preserve the Australian Shepherd as an intelligent
working dog of strong herding and guardian instincts.
Yes your dogs are mutts or aussies.
Do you do anything with your dogs? Do you work them? Do you show them? Do you do performance with them? If you did you wouldnt be breeding them at this age. Oh... And the registry you picked are not even respectable. It would be different if they were MASCA which is at least like ASCA for minis. But since they are toys which are most likely mutts you cannot register with them. They have DNA testing to prove if the dog is a mutt or not you should do it.

| Actually my dogs come from show stock thank you very much. You can breed and show at the same time. I use my dogs in agility and they do work stock. Granted I dont put them on cows as I dont run cattle. But they have worked sheep and goats. Started on ducks just as any other working dog. I can raise anything that I perfer to raise and if someone would like to purchase one of my dogs that is their business. Not yours. I am sorry that you feel the way you do like I said its your choice to use or do what you would like just as it is mine. I have purchased stock from champion dogs and bred to champion dogs. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL ME WHAT I CAN AND CANT DO WITH MY DOGS. I AM NOT BREAKING ANY LAWS AND MY DOGS ARE REGISTERED. SO WOULD PEFER YOU TO LET ME BE. I AM NOT SLAMMING YOU.

| Believe me I am not slamming you. I breed aussies and I know for sure that your dogs do not come from pure stock as 85 of toys are mutts. Are you saying your dogs are the 15 that do? Actually we assume the numbers are higher than that more like 5 are bred down and those have been known to have health issues.
How can you show with the registries you listed? Those arent show registries.
Also there is no such thing as a mini/toy aussie. It is false advertising so yes you are breaking laws. D Well that is an opinion though.
Your boy is too young to stud have you heard of puppy lemon laws? Do you sell your dogs with the for sure that they will be working/show dogs?
How does a dog as big as a pap work sheep and ducks? As from my understanding people that breed toys DONT work them.
Do you have OFAs and CERFs on your dogs? Can I find them on the OFA site? Just your vet checking isnt good enough.
Your right I have a right to express my opinion. It is that you shouldnt be breeding and that you dont know what you are doing when you stud a 10 month old mutt.
If you tell me these are North American Shepherds I will totally change my opinion on the mutt thing. However if you do want to stud your dog no matter what breed it is or isnt you should wait until they pass health testing. Do that and I doubt people would feel as lowly of you.
