Biewer Yorshire Terrier puppies are tiny in stature, reaching just 8 inches fully grown. These small pups are completely oblivious of their size though, loving adventure and showing as much bravery and loyalty as any large dog. Biewer Yorkshire Terrier puppies can be very sweet and affectionate but it's important to remember not to baby these dogs and to show strong leadership over them. Like most small dogs, if Biewer Yorkies are given the upper hand in the household, there's a chance they may become yappy, aggressive, neurotic and overprotective. Physically, Biewer Yorkshire Terrier puppies, like most terriers, are small in stature, and are distinguished by their long, silky coats, which often reach the floor. The Biewer Yorkie originated in Germany in the 1980's from breeding two Yorkshire Terriers with the recessive gene for white coat markings. Today, they're considered two seperate breeds. Coloring is very specific in Biewer Yorkies; the torso and neck of a Biewer Yorkie should be white or blue or a mix of the two, and sometimes black. Their bellies are white and their heads are most commonly a symmetrical white-blue-gold coloring.
